Lyrical ("we," "us," or "our") is owned and operated by Lyrical Studios Inc., located in Canada. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our mobile application ("Lyrical," the "App").

1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account using email/password, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google, we may collect:
- Email address (Required for account management)
- Name (Optional, if provided by the auth provider)
- Authentication ID (Unique ID linked to the auth provider)
Guest Mode: Guest users are not stored in our database. Guest data remains fully on-device and never leaves the user's device.
1.2 Usage Data
We collect general interaction and performance data, such as features used, buttons tapped, and session duration. This data is anonymous, not linked to your user identity, and used solely to improve the App.
1.3 Identifiers
We may collect anonymous device identifiers used strictly for maintaining sessions, preventing fraud, and anonymous analytics. These identifiers are not used for advertising and do not track users across other apps or websites.
1.4 User Content
We may store user-generated content such as saved lyric collections, favorites, preferences, and other content created within the app.
1.5 Offline Data
The app stores certain data locally on your device, including cached lyrics, collections, preferences, guest mode data, and offline resources. This data stays on your device unless you create an account and choose to sync.
2. What We Do Not Collect
We do not collect:
- Photos or images, or microphone data
- Location data (approximate or precise)
- Payment or financial information
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- Sensitive personal information (health, race, biometric data)
We do not track users across apps or websites owned by other companies.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information only for:
- Creating and managing accounts
- Syncing collections and preferences
- Personalizing app features
- Ensuring app functionality and security
- Analyzing anonymous usage patterns to improve Lyrical
- Customer support
We do not sell, rent, or share data for advertising or marketing.
4. Analytics
We use analytics to collect anonymous usage data. Analytics helps us understand feature usage, app performance, crashes, and general metrics.
Our analytics providers do not receive your email, name, or contact information. All analytics are anonymous and not linked to your identity.
5. Data Storage and Security
5.1 Database
We use private databases to store and manage account emails, authentication identifiers, and user content such as collections and preferences. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
5.2 Local Device Storage
Guest data and offline data remain solely on your device.
5.3 Servers
Your data may be processed and stored in Canada, the United States, or other regions where our service providers operate.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your information. No data is shared for advertising.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data only as long as your account is active.
If you delete your account, all personal data and associated content are permanently deleted from our systems.
Guest data remains only on-device and can be manually removed by uninstalling the app.
8. User Rights and Deletion
8.1 Account Deletion (In-App)
You can delete your account and all associated data directly within the App:
- Go to Settings.
- Select Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion.
Upon confirmation, your account and cloud-stored data are permanently removed from our systems.
8.2 Other Rights
Depending on your region (including GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA), you may have the right to access, correct, or export your data. To exercise these rights, please contact us at hello@lyricalstudios.ca.
9. Age Requirements
Lyrical is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a user under 18, we will delete it immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App implies acceptance of the updated policy.
